Motherhood + Business

If you know me you know I feel very strongly about mothers being able to stay flexible. I support moms who choose to put their kids first, whatever that looks like for their families.

Sometimes, not working full time is not an option and that’s ok, it’s more about the mindset that the kids are the priority and driving factor.

Personally, I believe you CAN have it all. I believe that every mother can create something that's hers. Every mother doesn't have to have a business. but having your own business helps not only bring financial security to your household, especially if you're a single mom or raising kids on your own, but a deep sense of purpose.

Through all my interactions coaching and working with mothers i've found that the majority of them have a burning desire to create something that's theirs. They long for something that feeds their soul and yanks them out of their day-to-day routine

When I was a mom with very young children (Ok, ok, they're still young, but like "really" little LOL), I loved being there for them, I loved being available., but I always had a side gig going on, something that allowed me to keep my day busy, but always be flexible.

For example, say I had a day full of meetings, but kids were sick overnight, I could cancel everything and just be there for them. Something that’s always been really important for me is taking them to the bus every morning and picking them up from the bus after school. I wanted them to know how important to me they were and how much I missed them. This was a non negotiable for me.

Unfortunately, I do know there are professions that are less inclusive for motherhood. Entrepreneurship is really the only arena that really allows us to set our own terms, which is why I have put all my focus and efforts into those women who feel that call to create something that’s theirs.

Think about it. Maybe it seems unrealistic today. Maybe you think you’d never want to be your own boss. Just plant a seed in your brain and let your subconscious work in creating your bold dream
